Hi Alan,

Here are some things to try...
- What protocols has Windows 2000 server installed (beside TCP/IP). Is there
also NetBIOS?
- How is DNS setup on your laptop? Does it point to AD DNS?
- When browsing, can you try to browse to IP address instead of www address?
- Can you ping gateway or some address on the internet?
- Can you check the error log on Windows 2000 server and post back with any
errors?
- What is the exact error that you get when you try to join laptop to
domain?

Many things could have changed in these few months since that Windows XP was
last successfully joined to domain. If you have the option, try to join some
other PC to domain.
