I have a Windows 2000 domain with some Windows 2003 domain controllers. We
are in the process of upgrading our desktops to XP Pro and in the past we
let our users have Local Admin rights over there PC, however, we want to
take that away. I logged in as a regular user on an XP Pro box and tried a
net use ltp1: \\servername\printername, however, it is asking for a password
and even if I use an admin account and password it says denied. I added that
user to the local admin account and of course they could do it then, but I
do not want to give my users local admin rights unless neccessary. How can I
grant a regular domain user rights to create a net use lpt1 and make it
persistent?
Thanks,
Josh
