The default and place to change can be seen by:

1. Start / run /gpedit.msc /ok
2. Local Computer Policy / Computer Configuration / Windows Settings /
Sercurity Settings / Account Policies / Password Policies.

Policy Security Setting
Enforce password history 0 passwords remembered
Maximum password age 42 days
Minimum password age 1 days
Minimum password length 7 characters
Password must meet complexity requirements Disabled
Store password using reversible encryption for all users in the domain Disabled
