Hey, I got the same problem on my new WindowsServer2003,
It happened after I installed one or more server roles.
Did you manage to find a solution to this? I've looked
everywhere to no avail :(
Tried but not worked:
*Permissions/Ownership of log files
*Different admin account
*Disabling Event Log service, restarting, deleting
the .evt files, re-enabling serive, restarting...same
problem even with new .evt files!
*Looking at the logs remotely
*Changing location of .evt files through registry
*Copying over another server's .evt files and replacing
Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!!
Kind Regards
Imran
