we have users on our lan who use google and the company directive is
to use bing
any way to make it so they cant get to google?
I put this in the hosts files, but it didnt work
74.125.45.100 bing.com
google.com bing.com
I Tried creating A records on the DNS server, but it only wants to
create things under ourdomain.com
As others have said....youhave to use a proxy server or firewall product to
deny the Google Domain. With some products (like ISA Server) allow a
Redirect Page for the Deny Rule,...so if the deny rule catches
www.google.com it can redirect to www.bing.com. But it is not as simple as
it sounds,...using a Domain Name in a URL is not the same as using an IP# in
the URL and what "blocks" one will not block the other.
