Error: Root hints list has invalid root hint server

I?m with a small school of maybe 25-50 computers. We use one AD server.
This server is our Wins and DNS (it is not our dhcp our router does
this.)
Recently I installed and ran dcdiag /test:dns
I will show the results at the end of this message.
The two messages that seem to be Wong are :
TEST: Forwarders/Root hints (Forw)
Error: Root hints list has invalid root hint server:
a.root-servers.net. (198.41.0.4)
Error: Root hints list has invalid root hint server:
b.root-servers.net. (192.228.79.201)
Error: Root hints list has invalid root hint server:
c.root-servers.net. (192.33.4.12)
Etc etc.
AND
Error: DNS server: win2003-07rnw0i.acme.steamroller.school.
IP:192.168.1.120 [Broken delegated domain
_forward.cm.acme.steamroller.school.]
Error: DNS server:
win2003-07rnw0i.acme.steamroller.school. IP:192.168.1.120 [Broken
delegated domain tbs.acme.steamroller.school.]
Now I have found a couple of messages on the forum that seem to deal
with these errors, but Im not sure enough to move forward with doing
what those authors did.(eg

I have taken windows 2003 courses but DNS is a world unto its own.
Although I believe our situation is fairly simple, as it is just one
server with a relatively small number of workstations, of which some are
in the AD some are just students connecting to the network with laptops
etc.
The network is sometimes flakie and it is a bit wide spread over
several buildings. On some of the computers I can?t add permissions to
users eg you know how you right click on file and then go to properties
/ security / add. It can?t find any names on the server. Its like it
can?t find the server to get the ad names from. Accept that it does
login to the domain. This may be a red herring but I?m wondering if I
resolve the errors above if it will help with this problem.
Anyway lets deal with the dns issue for the moment.
Can anyone give me any advice on how to resolve the errors I have
listed.
