DNS Issue with...let me explain

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Since my ISP doesn't offer usenet newsgroups any longer, I figured I take a
stab at this here.

I have a SBS2K3 server, Exchange hosted in house. MX records working fine,
rDNS record is valid. Basically, not having any problems with email in
house. However, we use a web app that is hosted by another company. We
fill out the pertinent info, hit submit, and it generates an email to the
client. The "from" address would be from user@xxxxxxxx Since a couple
months ago, most of these emails are getting rejected from the recipients
end, stating:

manager@xxxxxxxxxxxxx on 2/14/2009 1:18 PM
The e-mail system was unable to deliver the message, but did not report a
specific reason. Check the address and try again. If it still fails, contact
your system administrator. <SAITECHDB #5.0.0 smtp;550 Your HELO string is
incorrect

All of the NDRs refer to SAITECHDB, and my guess is either one of two
things. Is this because the client's servers are performing a reverse DNS
lookup and finding that the email isn't generating from *our* public IP? Or,
I know this isn't in the scope of THIS group, but could it be a mail server
config problem on the hosted app end?

Signed,

Trying to get this figured out....

TIA
