Hi,

I wonder if I could possibly create a some sort wild card record in
the DNS server of windows 2003?

e.g. for all hosts of *.abc.com -> 192.168.0.123

Sure you can.
However, if abc.com is in your DNS Suffix search list, I would not recommend
it. Since abc.com will be appended to all DNS names not followed with a
trailing . , all queries that do not have the explicit name, will resolve to
this record.
