Just added a 2003 Server to our office network, set it as a AD DC & a
DNS server for mydomain.com.
DNS setting point to itself & all clients point to it, as well.
One problem is that our email is hosted by ISP & it seems that the
server can ping pop.mydomain.com & smtp.mydomain.com, but clients
can't & they can't send & recieve email, as a result.
Checking my MX records shows about 8 different servers that answer to
"my" mail servers.
How should I handle this in my server's DNS records?
I thought of adding entries to the hosts file on computers (only about
18 of them), but figure this could come back to bite me down the line.
Suggestions?
