Hi,
Need help in fixing the missing DNS host entries.

What we did: Recently we changed the IP address of 3 of the DNS
servers. Out of which on is the Root DNS.

Issue: After the change, we checked the DNS name resolutions, all
were fine. Suddenly after one day we see that couple of server's
hostname entries disappeared. We had to add it again. Can we know why
these DNS entries are getting disappeared?

Environment: Windows 2000 - All DNS servers are also DCs (AD
integrated)

The hosts you are talking about, are they the ones for the DNS server names?
In the DNS console on the DNS server properties ***, interfaces tab, make
sure DNS is listening on the new IP addresses.

Check all NS records in your zones for the DNS servers, and make sure they
are resolved to the new IPs.
