I am unable to load pictures for Amazon.com. Amazon must be using a
CNAME for
their images server called "ecx.images-amazon.com". I saw a thread
that
explains this but I am not able to get the suggested fix to work.
Here is a
link to that thread.

http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx?query=ecx.images-amazon.com&dg=microsoft.public.windows.server.dns&cat=en_us_a10eb074-42a2-47bb-ae2f-8ff9efe57b80&lang=en&cr=us&pt=&catlist=&dglist=&ptlist=&exp=&sloc=en-us

I get the same error that is posted in this thread about not being
able to
create a new record. Has anyone got this working? Any help would be
wonderful, thanks.

Here is what I've been able to do, create a new stub zone named
ecx.images-amozon.com, getting data from 72.21.204.208, 72.21.192.209,
207.171.178.13, and 207.171.191.123, it took a couple of transfer from
masters to get the zone to load, but when it did it loaded the two CNAME
records that ecx.image-amazon.com resolves to in it.

The real problem is that two CNAME records are not supposed to exist on the
same node, most DNS servers won't even allow this. What really drives the
nail into it, both of the CNAMES point to other CNAMES. So what you really
need to do is make sure your firewall isn't blocking EDNS packets (UDP
packets exceeding 512 bytes)

Here is the record enumeration on the stub zone.
W:\>dnscmd dc01 /enumrecords ecx.images-amazon.com @
Returned records:
@ 600 NS ns-923.amazon.com.
60 CNAME ecx.images-amazon.com.edgesuite.net.
60 CNAME ant.mii.instacontent.net.
1 SOA ns-923.amazon.com. dns.amazon.com. 1198035131 3600
900 7776000 1
Command completed successfully.
