I have a domain with two domain controllers. The first domain
controller was setup with DNS using Active Directory Integrated. I
have a test domain that I try things on before implementing on the
production domain. When I set up DNS on the second domain
controller, one of the questions that is asked is the name of the
forward lookup zone. I put in the forward lookup zone from the first
domain controller, and when I click to finish the install, it say
forward lookup zone already exists. I press ok and the install
finishes, and everything looks ok. Is this right? If not what
should I be using.
Is this the Configure DNS server wizard you see the first time you use the
DNS management console?
You don't need to create a zone, you could have selected "Configure Root
hints only" and been done with it.
