Re: Can I Round Robin DC's?

as I told you before roundrobin is enabled by default on DNS properties,
this setting will ensure that authentication is load balanced among existing
DCs in the clients site.
In order to ensure that the clients get their LOCAL DC and not other DC in a
different Site, you need to configure/assign the correct subnets to the
correct Site(s) in Active Directory Sites and Services.

What DNS settings do I need to verify? What records need to be there
and
do
they need any special considerations?

Is there any way, with Windows 2003 Servers, to create a Round Robin
or better yet a NLB situation with Domain Controllers.
I'd like to have the ability to reboot one Domain controller without
disallowing the clients that were authenticated to that domain
controller access. I would want them to re-authenticate to another
domain controller.
You get this by default, as long as all DCs are in the same domain. If
you
are originally authenticated by DC1 and it becomes unavailable the
client
will query DNS for SRV records for Global catalogs and DCs in the
domain.
If the network get non-responsive, make sure all DCs have itself and
at
least one online DC's DNS address listed in TCP/IP properties, and you
have
at least one Global Catalog server online at all times. Verify that
all
Global Catalogs are registered in DNS.
