When I run ipconfig /displaydns on my (windows 2003 sp2 server) DC I
get all the expected records, and this extra one:
wpad.wrbenson.local

Name does not exist.
I never heard of wpad - afaik, it's never been an object in AD or DNS
or DHCP; is this something I should try and fix? If so, where to
start?
It will come right back if you don't clear the "Automatically detect proxy
settings" on the connections tab of the Internat Properties in Control
Panel. WPAD=Web Proxy Auto Discover, it is looking for an ISA server which
you apparently don't have.
