Hi all,

Is there any way to do the following:

We currently host RWW and OWA internally on our SBS box, and a
subdomain email.domain.com is linked to our static IP address for
external access. Therefore, we just type in email.domain.com/Exchange
for OWA and email.domain.com/Remote for RWW. However, internally, we
can only access OWA and RWW by doing domain.local/Exchange and
domain.local/Remote.

Is there any way of being able to use email.domain.com/Exchange (or
Remote)? I realise that i just have to create another Forward Lookup
Zone, with Host (A) records for email.domain.com HOWEVER, as
email.domain.com is off our domain.com company website, it does not
allow us to view our website anymore which is hosted externally.

Any ideas?

Thanks all

As you stated, create the domain.com zone and provide the IP for the host
"email." You will also want to create a 'www' record as well and provide the
external IP. For 'www' you can also delegate the zone. This way if the ISP
changes the IP address, it will find the new IP. To delegate, rt-click
domain.com, choose new Delegation, type in www, then provide the ISP's DNS
servers that are authorative for the zone. Not sure what are authorative?
Use nslookup to ask 4.2.2.2, an external DNS, for the info:

nslookup
server 4.2.2.2
set q=soa
domain.com

Instead of the website you're using, try using OEx (Outlook Express
or any other newsreader), and configure a news account, pointing to
news.microsoft.com. Anonymous access. It's free - no username or password
required nor do you need a Newsgroup Usenet account with your ISP. It
connects directly to the Microsoft Public Newsgroups. OEx allows you
o easily find, track threads, cross-post, sort by date, poster's name,
watched threads or subject. It's easy:
