Just done add doing an ipconfig /all
on dns suffix search list it shows domain.plc.uk then underneath
plc.uk. 99% certain that it's plc.uk that's causing the problem, how
do I remove the plc.uk from the dns search suffix?
There is a group policy to fix your problem one of two ways.
Computer Configuration
-Administrative templates
-Network
-DNS Client
In the policy you can use the disable primary DNS suffix devolution or
configure a custom DNS suffix search list that has only domain.plc.uk in it.
Note-This policy only works on XP clients, if you have any Win2k clients,
you'll need to manually configure them.
