I can not get a new laptop to connect the network. Local Area Connection
in
the Support tab under Connection Statius states . the network did not
assign
a network address to the computer. The computer is setup to obtain IP and
DNS address.
Nothing to do with DNS (yet) but we will try to help anyway.
Do you have a DHCP server? Is it configured with a scope
for your machines? Do any other machines get an address
from it? Is the scope enabled? Is it out of addresses?
If you have no DHCP server you must manually configure your
new machine with an IP, Subnet Mask, and (probably): Default
Gateway + DNS Server.
