What type of firewall do you have? Check to insure that it handles EDNS0
(UDP packets greater than 512). If a PIX, or any firewall that does not have
the latest IOS or firmware to update it if it does not. This is a known
issue for older firewalls and Windows 2003.
Are all internal machiens ONLY using the internal DNS?
How to test it? Use nslookup. If it doesn;t work, then enter this command to
force it to use TCP instead of the default UDP.
set vc
If it works with with that command, then we know it';s an EDNS0 issue.
