strange dns client errors

have a client that logs the following entries in the system Eventlog:

- Error, dnsapi, ID 11189
- The system failed to update and remove pointer (PTR) resource records
(RRs) for network adapter
with settings:

Adapter Name : {A6DAAEC7-1414-4DDD-AB46-FC3BAD966559}
Host Name : nb139
Adapter-specific Domain Suffix : example.domain.com
DNS server list :
10.42.0.16, 10.42.0.23
Sent update to server : 10.1.1.1
IP Address : 10.1.1.1

Has anyone a hint why the client (Win XP SP2) tries to update its DNS
records on the inexistent DNS Server 10.1.1.1? There is no machine with this
IP, and there is also no Nameserver or Host with this adress defined in the
DNS Zone!

Thank you all in advance for any help!
Franz
