Hi Ace,
Thanks for your reply
You can ping what, www.yahoo.com, or only by it's IP address?
Yes, I can ping using www.yahoo.com
Yes, trying to browse to go to yahoo, or google or any other sites, and
I assume by 'browsing' you mean using a web browser.
I am unable to
How is Ezproxy configured? As a firewall or web caching device or both?EZproxy is configured only for web caching.
Did you configure IE to use EProxy?
Did you create a rule to allow the appropriate traffic type? What do theWe have a PIX firewall and they have port 389 and DNS port opened for
docs say?
EZPROXY to authenticate to our AD server (since it is not a member of the
domain).
Also if you mix internal and external DNS servers, the results can be
unpredictable, especially if the machine is part of an AD domain, and if
so, this configuration is not recommended at all because of the way AD
relies on DNS. Point only to the internal and configure a forwarder to
your ISP to forward outside resolution requests. Then you'll need to allow
that type of traffic in your proxy.
I infact removed the external DNS servers pointing to my ISP. And as I
mentioned that this machine is not a part of the AD domain, but it would be
easier for me to make it a part of AD domain which I am currently hitting
the problem where I am unable to authenticate EZPROXY to my AD.
I am not using my local proxy server on my browse LAN settings, and infact I
tried adding that also, but still was not successful. Any suggestions. I
know it could be something on the firewall side as the guy who configures
the firewall does not know much.
thanks,
Neil

This is a proxy server which in the DMZ. I can ping yahoo or google,

My DNS is pointing to my internal DNS servers and also ISP DNS
servers, but still no luck? Is there anything else anyone knows what
could be the problem.
The proxy server is not blocking as I tried stopping the proxy
services and tried browsing and that still did not work. So, just any
thoughts guys? The proxy server I am using is EZPROXY
