DNS server running on a member server running a proxy at a client network, I
had set it up to use both two DCs as a master for in the secondary zone
properties. One DC was down for couple of days, the secondary expired
because it wouldn't refresh the zone from the other DC. I don't recall if
the secondary logged anything, but I ended having to delete the secondary
zone because it would not load the zone from the remaining DC.
I'm going to do some more testing on my servers, but I'm pretty sure it had
something to do with the SOA Master Name server record.
