If I undersand you correctly you upgraded from 2000 to 2003, and did you
created a account with a non-expiring password for the DHCP servers? go to
properties of the DHCP server and check if it's binding to the correct
adapter and that has the correct credentials to register in behalf of DHCP
clients.

Config:
2 W2k/SP4 DHCP-servers, 6 W2k3R2 DC/DNS-servers, DHCP-clients are XPSP2,
W2kPro, DHCP-enabled printers (some with DDNS capability, some without)

Both DHCP-servers are authorized servers, both are members of
DnsUpdateProxy-group, and on both the SYSTEM-account runs the
DHCP-server-service.

- Non secure Updates and Secure

Ownership of records in DNS-server seems to be SYSTEM

My problem:
After DC/DNS-servers were upgraded from W2kSP4 to W2k3R2, the DHCP-servers
no longer update DDNS on behalf of clients/printers. The DHCP Audit Log
Files (available only for the last week) contain no "DNS Update Request"
events, only "Deleted", "Assign" and "Renew" events. Event logs on
DHCP-servers show no errors, and Network Monitor shows no DNS Update
traffic from DHCP-servers to DNS-servers, so apparently no DDNS-update
requests are sent from the DHCP-servers, (except requests for their own
servernames).

What am I missing?
