By the way, another option would be to create a new CNAME record and leave
the alias name blank. Enter www.xyz.com as the target host.
The advantage to this method is that if your www IP address ever changes,
you only need to change one A record instead of two.

that you are using for www.
FYI - non-Microsoft DNS servers sometimes use the "@" symbol as the host
to specify an A record domain.com by itself.
