DNS GRRR

What is the best way to get up to speed on installing, configuring and
tweaking DNS? I have no previous DNS experiance. I understand what DNS is
and what it does, but I am having issues getting the freaking thing to work
properly.
I have 3 offices, connected via VPN. We have one forest one domain as our
schema to keep things simple. DNS is working fine at our mainoffice, but I
can not get a branch office DNS setup and working properly.
Any help GREATLY appreciated.
