In news:1148643679.569034.91660@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,
Stig Vanmoerkerke <stig.vanmoerkerke@xxxxxxxxx> stated, which I commented on
below:
Hello,
we had a dns server crash, so i had to install it from scratch again,
we are hosting a couple of 100 domains on it, so, to be able to load
the domains from our secondary i had to install the server with an
internal ip address to be able to get internet connectivity, so i gave
the second network card the ip 192.168.0.15 and started importing the
domains from our secondary nameserver.
Once the dns was all set with all the domains in it as primary
domains, i disabled the second networkcard (192.168.0.15) and
activated the first one
but if i do a dnsreport test now, i get this error:
http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=adwork.be
ERROR: Your nameservers report glue that is different from what the
parent servers report. This will cause DNS servers to get confused;
some may go to the IP provided by the parent servers, while others may
get to the ones provided by your authoritative DNS servers. Problem
record(s) are:
server.tales.be.:
Parent server (prague.ns.dns.be) says A record is 193.121.227.1, but
authoritative DNS server (80.84.225.41) says it is 192.168.0.15
Whatever i try, if i add a NS record on our domains, and give the name
server.tales.be, it returns ip address 192.168.0.15, although that
network card is disabled and not connected to a network cable...
How can this be corrected?
Many thanks for helping me out,
Stig
Remove the unwanted IP addresses from the Nameservers tab, especially the
internal private IP addresses (which are useless with public nameservers).
