Thanks Herb i got it to work, but now my ftp server is not workking. i
should
note that both my Domain and ftp are hosted by Yahoo. i added a host name
with my site address, and i can get to it now but not to my ftp ex.
ftp.mysite.com
Do you have a record (available) for ftp.mysite.com?
If not add one. If you do, then try nslookup, prove it's
there.
Then try a command line FTP (or Telnet on port 21),
i.e., something simpler than a browser, and prove you
are reaching that site or note.

Hello:
I was traying to put in place an internal and external mail system with
Exchange 2003 on a server 2003, and i had to change from a workgroup to
a
Domain controler for a single server. But i made a blunder and name tha
Domain the same as our web site, now i can not enter the web site from
any
machine that join the Domain. I really do not want to go thru the
process
of
renaming the domain. Im new at DNS i need help. Thanks
You can access the web site by it's full name, e.g.,
www.yourDomain.com
You will not be able to access it by the "domain name
only", e.g., yourDomain.com since all DC register this
name as well.
If you cannot do the first, then likely you haven't YET
added a record for www.yourDomain.com to your
INTERNAL DNS.
When running a Shadow DNS (external and internal
versions of your DNS, aka Split DNS) you must enter
all relevant records to BOTH the External and the
INTERNAL (manually.)
