Re: W2K3 Enterprise R2 servers not accessible

Thank you. I added the PTR and that took care of it.

Now back to your question: "Are you able to resolve their IP
addresses using nslookup?"

This is a very basic question but I am just trying to get my arms
around
W2k3 and DNS, etc.
I have gone to a DOS prompt on my server in Domain B. I type
nslookup and
it now brings back the DNS server information. At the > prompt, what
do I type to try to resolve their IP addresses?

Any host name, for instance servername or servername.yourdomain.com. Keep in
mind, nslookup appends the suffixes from the DNS suffix search list,
servername would need to be in the zone listed in the DNS suffix search list
for only the host name to resolve. Your ipconfig /all shows you the DNS
suffix search list.
