Re: Problem with DNS

Great, this fix this issue.
I stop and restart DNS and I got this error:
The DNS server could not signal the service "NAT". The error was 1168. There
may be interoperability problems between the DNS service and this service.
Any ideas here??
Tks

Tks for you reply and help Martin.
This is a good start :)
When I run the DCdiag I see this error when it's testing the systemLog
Event ID 0x00000457 couldn't be retrieved.
I already installed the DNS in the second DC, how do I sertup this as
secondary?
In my event log I see this alert:
The DNS server list of restricted interfaces contains IP addresses
that are not configured for use at the server computer.
Use the DNS manager server properties, interfaces dialog, to verify
and reset the IP addresses the DNS server should listen on. For more
information, see "To restrict a DNS server to listen only on selected
addresses" in the online Help.
What is this mean?
It means that the DNS server is listening on an IP address that is not on
the local machine. In the DNS console, click on the properties of the DNS
server, choose the interfaces tab, enter an IP address that is on one of
its
NICs and remove any that are not. It cannot listen on an IP address that
is
not on one of its NICs.
