In the System log, only one error from IPBOOTP which I'd say is totally
unrelated in its timing:
ipboot.dll 5.2.3790.1830 EventID 30022 (could not receive events on
local IP 192.168.1.2)

And there are no special error warnings in the application log, too
(only something about a fax not being able to send or receive).


Oh, and I just saw, in the DNS log there is an error 4004, too,
sometimes.

I've got a small network with an SBS 2003 Server, a secondary Windows
Server 2003 file server and 8 Clients.

I try to use sharepoint on SBS for some documents, but from time to
time http://companyweb is unreachable.

There seems to be some kind of DNS problem, but I can't figure out what
it is.

ping companyweb does not work (unable to resolve address)
nslookup companyweb *does* work, shows the right ip, name and alias
name.

On the SBS itself http://companyweb is still rechable.

After some time (30-60min) companyweb 'reappears', everything does work
again.

This is *very* annoying, and makes using sharepoint a real pita.


I am not sure if it may be connected, but in the DNS error log on the
SBS I got some funny error sometimes, too:
DNS error 6702
The errormessage (and a lot of people in usenet) sez I should ignore
this error if this is the only DNS server in my network. Still, I got
no other clues why this all aint working sometimes.

Any hints or help would be appreciated!
