Multiple Names Single domain

Hi All,
Is it possible for me to have multiple aliases for the same domain name
such that users in different locations could map drives and access
resources in the "domain a" by supplying credintials in the following
format?

eastern\user1
western\user2
midwest\user3

In the scenario that I am describing, I would like for eastern, western
and midwest to all reference the same domain. Will cname records
provide this functionality?
