Re: PTR Records

Thanks, Kevin. One more thing and I'll feel better about this whole thing.
A reverse DNS lookup on the domain shows these results:
Answer:
168.9.128.18 PTR record: cowetaschools.org. [TTL 3600s] [A=168.9.128.18]
168.9.128.18 PTR record: cowetaschools.net. [TTL 3600s] [A=168.9.128.18]
168.9.128.18 PTR record: coweta.k12.ga.us. [TTL 3600s] [A=168.9.128.18]
168.9.128.18 PTR record: www.coweta.k12.ga.us. [TTL 3600s] [A=168.9.128.18]
168.9.128.18 PTR record: cowetaschools.com. [TTL 3600s] [A=168.9.128.18]
168.9.128.18 PTR record: www.cowetaschools.com. [TTL 3600s] [A=168.9.128.18]
168.9.128.18 PTR record: www.cowetaschools.org. [TTL 3600s] [A=168.9.128.18]
168.9.128.18 PTR record: www.cowetaschools.net. [TTL 3600s] [A=168.9.128.18]
168.9.128.18 PTR record: www.cowetaparent.com. [TTL 3600s] [A=168.9.128.18]

Here is the DNS info I have currently:

Name Type Data
(same as parent folder) Host 168.9.128.18
(same as parent folder) Mail Exchanger [10] dewey.cowetaschools.net.
(same as parent folder) Name Server dns1.cowetaschools.net.
(same as parent folder) Name Server dns2.cowetaschools.net.
(same as parent folder) Start of Authority [2005100611],
dns1.cowetaschools.net., administrator.cowetaschools.net.
(same as parent folder) Text v=spf1 ip4:168.9.128.0/19 mx a:168.9.128.29
a:168.9.128.195 a:168.9.128.204 a:168.9.128.36 mx:dewey.cowetaschools.net
~all ...
dewey Host 168.9.128.21
dns1 Host 168.9.128.13
dns2 Host 168.9.128.14
mail Host 168.9.128.21
www Host 168.9.128.18

Do we even need that Host record at the top that points to .18? That's our
web server; so shouldn't the www record take care of that? Is that what is
causing the problem with conflicting HELO names?

Thanks again, and have a great evening.
