Hi there,
this is a cross-post therefore sorry for the spam but i initialy
submited this post to a wrong group, win.setup group. Here is the
re-post:
Please provide me with detailed answer:
We have a dedicated server that is running on windows 2003 server.
The main website is in the c:\inetpub\www\mainwebsite directory.
In the DNS manager I have created the ns1.mydomain.com &
ns2.mydomain.com zones with all the other zone records.
The IIS has a configured website that points to the above mentioned
directory and the website name is mydomain.com
Now here is the question:
I would like to host hunderts of different domains/websites... We dont
control this domains and their users have to point their domains to
ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com
All of this domains should point to subdirectories of the main website:
c:\inetpub\www\mainwebsite\websites\website1
c:\inetpub\www\mainwebsite\websites\website2
c:\inetpub\www\mainwebsite\websites\website3
What do i have to do in respect to DNS/IIS settings in order to have
this?
Please provide detailed step by step instructions since we are very new
at this.
Thanks!
