Re: lmhosts will not load

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Thanks for the reply

The ipconfig/displaydns returns "Negative cache entry for no records" for
this server. The nbtstat -c returns "No names in cache" after an nbtstat -R.

The lmhosts file includes the #PRE, the last entry has a carriage return,
the lmhosts option is turned on, the server has been restarted, and the Cisco
security agent has been turned off.

Like i said, I really appreciate any suggestions because I am out of ideas.
I have also consulted with another very experienced administrator and we a re
both flumoxed.
