Hi Everyone,
We have a problem with caching system of Dns system (WServer 2003).We are
using an AD integrated, Split Brain DNS system in our university. we have 3
internal and 2 external DNS servers.
Because we take lots of DNS record request from different faculties eveyday,
we developed an application and made an website (called it WebDNS). Using
this web application, Faculty-Dns Staff are their own making DNS records on
dns zones which they have access.
At this point, we are having a problem. Our application is using wmi to
gather data from dns servers. As u know, DNS servers Cached Lookup folder
grows extremely. Because of this, our website is getting slower and slower
everyday. When we clear the cached lookup's, website is very fast coming but
after an hour again cached folder grows.
As a solution, we wrote a script, to clear cached lookups on dns servers and
made it work every minute on server.
is there any way to make dns servers not to cache lookups?
