Hi,
I figured I may not be giving you all the information you need to help me out.

So this company has about 8 member servers and 2 nt4 dc's.
The pdc runs dhcp/dns/wins
The bdc runs dns/wins
I want to move over all of those services or as much as is safe to a 2000 or
2003 box preferably to start preparing for a migration. however, that
migration maynot take place for several months.

I checked the dns forwarders and both dc's are now just forwarding to the
isp's dns boxes.
"Use WINS Reverse lookup is in use" and there are 2 dns zone names.
one is salem.com and one is 244.168.192.in-addr.arpa
On the 244 zone in the "Wins reverse lookup field has" a value entered for
the salem.com as the dns host name
On the salem.com "wins reverse lookup" field name for dns host name the
value is the IP address of the primary dns server
So I am not sure what is going on there and if that is correct.
The DOMAIN name itself that a machine joins or users logs into is actually
amsale
So is that making sense?
