Then DNS doesn;t matter with NT4. It uses NetBIOS for domain authentication
communication. You will need to use WINS in a multi subnetted system Just
join the 2000 or 2003 machine to the domain as a member server. If you want
a 2000 or 2003 machine to be a domain controller in your domain, then you've
just chosen to install AD, but I don't think that's what you're looking to
do.
