Currently, Microsoft is trying to co-opt SPF, a pre-existing technology,
with Sender ID. At one time there was a substantial effort to combine the
two but the technical faults in Sender-ID made that impossible.

Focus your efforts on SPF. This all has nothing to do with Microsoft.
