Re: Domain Controller Stops Processing All Login Requests Randomly



I think the problem may be solved with SP1. After installing on both DCs,
we simultaneously booted 30 machines and no server crash. We then
simultaneously booted 60 machines and no server crash. Thanks for your help
on this. I will post a new question if the problem reoccurs once the
students come back this summer. Here are the KB articles I found that
appeared relevant to our problem and that were addressed in SP1:

"Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 list of updates" - 824721

"Clients cannot log on to domain controllers that are Windows Server
2003-based DNS servers, and network interfaces that are not registered in
DNS can still perform dynamic updates" - 832478

"Windows Server 2003-Based Computer Becomes Unresponsive During Periods of
High Server Use" - 822820
