What I mean is that the server stopped responding to login requests and
people that had files open from thier network share lost the ability to
access those files. I tried opening dnsmgmt.msc and got an Application
Error Event log "Application Hang" Event ID 1002, "Hanging application
mmc.exe, version 5.2.3790.0, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang
address 0x00000000.".

I don't know how this is related, but this morning we booted about 30
machines simultaneously that are Deep Freeze clients. After booting, the
machines, the server exhibited the same behaviour. We rebooted the server
and then tried the same thing, booting a lab full of machines and it stopped
responding again. The wierd thing is that I was able to login to the DC
(which takes awhile when this happens) and open the dnsmgmt.msc o.k. but
still no one could login and shared folders were inaccessable.
