Re: PTR Records only update in Reverse Lookup Zones when

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

that is where my problem lies. if the box isnt checked, which it isnt by
default , the primary DNS suffix isnt registering. It worked prior, and even
if I run a ipconfig /registerdns command it still doesnt register. I have
remote sites with their own DHCP servers and those clients register in the
reverse lookup zone. It's only in this one subnet where the DHCP clients dont
register. Unless the use this connection check box is checked. I can not see
any differences between DHCP servers in their configurations except the life
of the lease. what would prevent clients registering in the Reverse lookup
zone via their Primary DNS suffix.
