With all due respect, I don't see the record.
I see

But I don't see,
192.168.1.1 A domain.com <--this record must exist

IF forwarding is causing a problem, what is in the DNS suffix search list of
the clients?
Possibly, the clients are appending a suffix that causes this to fail.
