Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Thanks to all who reply here. If there is an FAQ let me know. Instead I've
read every post but dont have an answer. YET .
Just set up Eval copy of 2k3 enterprise. SP1.
Private NIC set to 192.168.0.1 DNS Pointing to itself. In advance
properties suffix order includes domain name.
Public NIC has Dynamic IP and ISP DNS. DCDIAG says no probs
Win XP workstation connected via switch as 192.168.0.2 is unable to join
domain. Details says SRV ok sees the domain but A record incorrect or
includes other addresses?
I can ping the domain name but not the FQDN of the server

Any suggestions MCSE Wannabe :^)
