An External DNS Issue

I have an active directory domain called abc.com which originally included a
web server and a mail server.
I recently have outsourced the website to a hosting company, therefore the
internet domain name servers were changed to point people who go to
www.abc.com to the different web server IP address.
When the site was first published, www was in front of all pages on the site
so I had no problems. I had created a www host record on my internal dns
servers to point all internal users to the external site when www.abc.com was
visited. The problem happened when the hosting company removed www from all
pages in the external website except the home page.
I'm not sure how to tell users that need to type a abc.com page without the
www to go to the external site. I am not a dns expert but can follow
directions if given the infomation or where to look for it.
Any help would be appreciated.
Jeff
