If by disabling firewall it worked, then it could be EDNS Probes issue.
However, if this was the issue you should have experienced same behavirour
with some other sites too. You can try disabling EDNS probes. To disable
EDNS Probes please see below link:

If it works after disabling EDNS Probes, then it will be confiremd that
this is the issue. You can continue with EDNS Probes disabled, and
contact your Firewall / Router supplier, for a solution to allow EDNS
Probes.
