It is still trying to register the SRV records in the single-label domain
for some reason. When you ran the rename did it finish without errors?
I've not ran the domain rename so I'm not sure why this has happened, it
seems to think it has both domain names. So it is trying to register both.
Someone may have an answer for you so don't give up just yet. Give it
another day or two.
Did you apply the registry entries for the single-label name before running
domain rename?
This may just be something that has to be cleaned up after the rename.

I am going to cross post this to the Active Directory group, maybe someone
there has some information on why it is still trying to register in the old
name.
