I end up using SETPRFDC utility on Windows NT SP6 machines to control the
order the client attempts to establish a secure channel connection for login
and to direct the netlogon process to a preferred DC (in this case the
additional DC which is installed at the local site) for the secure channel.

I was able to tell a client who it should attempt to setup its secure
channel with by;

setprfdc cwcs_cwtp eafwtp12

where cwcs_cwtp is the truested domain and eafwtp12 is the local DC name in
the trusted domain.

However, when I tried to supply a list of DCs in the order I would like them
to be tried incase one fails I got an error message of;

setprfdc cwcs_cwtp eafwtp12,florin

where florin is another additional DC at some other site

cannot connect to 'eafwtp12,florin' : Error_bad_netpath failed to set the DC

I tried this command with spaces in between the DC names, ";" and "/"
instead of "," no luck....

any ideas?

Ezer
