Hi,
I'm having problems setting up 2003 dns server.
the equipment we have is an all in 1 router, (switch, firwall.,hub)
the layout is
INTERNET
ROUTER(ALL IN 1) which gets the outside ip address aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa
and leading off the router is our server and workstations,
i have assigned these private ip's 192.168.0.100-200 including the server
at my name registrar i have assigned the dns server name, and address
server.blah.com with the static single public ip address aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa,
but when i go to dns report it says there is no glue for the server and
reports cannot connect because the name server ip is private i.e
192.168.0.x, so I have tried changing the ip address of the NS record to the
public ip aaa.aaa.aaa.aaa but still no joy.
Could someone please explain what I can do to solve this problem.
Any help much appreciated.
Adrian.
