How do I push out manual entries in DNS to my workstations?

On my 2003 DC I manually added the entry of www to point to an external ip address. Our external and internal domain
names are the same domain.com for this discussion. So I added www so that my clients can point to www.domain.com to
reach the company web site. It was not resolving in the past. I also added ftp and mail to resolve externally. I made
a mistake in the ip entry for ftp. I found the mistake and corrected it. But my workstation still resolves to the old
ip address. On the DC if I ping ftp or ftp.domain.com it resolves correctly. On my workstation ping ftp or
ftp.domain.com resolves to the old incorrect entry. So I am comfused. If my workstation is supposed to look to the DC
as its DNS server, why isn't it getting the corrected ip address when I try to resolve ftp.domain.com?
