I have two AD DC's intergrated with DNS running on 2003 ent. My servers are all mostly win 2000 adv server. My question is if my preferred DC is down, shouldn't my servers, if configured with a preferred and alternative dns entries automatically when finding that the DC's is down find the alternative dns server? My servers are not automatically switching to the alternative dns server.
