Well, that is just silly -- do you ever setup routers to ISPs like cable
and DSL where you have no choice but to accept a dynamic address
if you wish to use the connection and reach the Internet?
It's not normally possible, and doesn't even address the problem he
had.

Well, yes, and it solves the request that was submitted without destroying
his internetwork access.
